Brittany Mruczek is an American Opera singer born and raised in Western New York. As a young girl she always wanted to be in the spot light whether it be posing for pictures or doubling a spoon as a microphone. Brittany began taking voice lessons, acting lessons, dance lessons and piano lessons as well as becoming a very active member of community theater at a very young age. Her theater credits include Oliver, Hello Dolly, The Music Man, Titanic (Alice), Jesus Christ Super Star, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Millie), Godspell, Annie, The Sound of Music, Anything goes, Bye Bye Birdie (Kim Mcafee), and No, No, Nanette (Lucille).
At the age of 11, Brittany began attending the Eastman School of Music in the Community Education Division where she would earn a High School Honors diploma in Voice. There she studied for seven years with Patricia Alexander; the mother of world renowned opera singer, Renee Fleming. Brittany performed in numerous recitals and singing competitions. In 2007 she was awarded 1st in the Heidi Kilian Voice Competition, 1st in the Geneseo Young Artists Competition and was Runner-Up for the RPO Young Artist Competition.

Wanting to pursue a career in music, Brittany attended college at the Crane school of music at SUNY Potsdam where she studied with Baritone, David Pittman-Jennings. At Potsdam, she was the treasurer of ACDA as well as a member of the Crane Opera Ensemble. Some of her production credits at Crane include L'egisto (Venere), scenes of La Boheme (Musetta), and L'efant et les Sortileges (Tea cup/White cat). Brittany competed in the NATS Voice Competition all four years being awarded 2nd Place her sophomore year and 1st Place her senior year. Brittany graduated in December 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Voice Performance and Music Education. As part of her teaching degree she also student taught middle school and elementary school music for 5 months.
In 2013, Brittany continued her education at New York University at the Steinhardt School where she studied under the direction of Soprano, Rosa Vento. In May 2015, she graduated with a Master of Music degree in Voice Performance. Some of Brittany's credits at NYU include Nights Caps (Masha), Student Prince (Princess Eugenia) and most recently the title role in Cendrillon.
This past August, Brittany made her professional debut with the Rochester Lyric Opera as Mademoiselle Silberklang in The Impresario by Mozart.
